About Us | Wine And Food Traveller

About Us

In 1999 we had our first real taste of the Italian Lifestyle when travelling through Sicily with 2 friends after attending Rugby World Cup in the UK. That trip was the first freewheeling trip we planned and it fuelled my passion for all things Italian.

Since then we have travelled through most of the Italian regions, returning every year to a different region with pre planned wine and food tours packaged into every trip we have done.

With this network of contacts and a desire to return as often as possible we launched Wine and Food Traveller to share experiences with those who share the same passion about the Italian Lifestyle.

Our partners in Italy personally escort all our wine and food tours, and you will visit places that you would not find on your own. We work closely with the Slow Food movement promoting gastronomic culture and many of the experiences we offer are with the local members of Slow Food, Slow Wine & Slow Cheese.

We specialise in custom made travel itineraries for couples and small group tours to ensure the experience is personalised and unique. Each tour is different, some off the beaten track, covering one or two regions in most cases, and designed to link in with another tour if you wish to extend the indulgence of the Italian Lifestyle.

For foodies, budding gourmets and those with a passion for travel to Italy (and occasionally, France) we offer a selection all inclusive small group tours (maximum 10 people) that take in some incredible experiences including cooking classes, visiting truffle farms, and immersion into agritourism .

Our Local Guides

Our guides are partners in the business and have personally been selected after we invested the time (a real hardship) experiencing what they offer. Their knowledge of the regions we visit, and the Slow Food movement combined with the passion of the Italian Lifestyle means you are in good hands.

They share with us the reality of daily life as well as the historical significance of the location, its architecture and the peoples who have inhabited the region.

We open doors to private places that are otherwise not open to the public.
We know the special places to visit in each town you stay in, so when you have free time take the recommendations of our guides  or do your own thing.

The Advantages of  Traveling with Wine and Food Traveller to Italy

Everything is organised for you, but nothing is rushed; excellent food and wine keeps coming and the enjoyment of travelling with a very small group makes it much more intimate. Consider whether you would like to link two tours back to back, perhaps one region with a small group tour then travel another as a couple. There are plenty to choose from, so please read the itinerary’s or let us design one to your requirements.

We use 4 Star hotels of charm and character including small private and family owned hotels, always unique, and authentically Italian.
